Three questions on Kneat

Three questions on Kneat was created by Gary Bashor
I am not sure I have the most current kneat template (2.0.1) but it appears so.

That being said, I saw the thread here on the wysiwyg editor not yet being supported in the current template. Is there an eta for when we might see that update to support wysiwyg?

Second, I cannot locate an option in the editor to add a poll, though polls are turned on in my forum. Is that a supported option currently in the template, or is my problem elsewhere?

Third, do you have an illustration somewhere as to what each default icon (fontawesome) represents? Specifically, read, unread, pinned, etc? I’ve searched the Kunena support forum as well as here, but have not located a resource that shows this information. I can’t even locate what all options there are in the default setup.

Thanks in advance for any insight Youn bring to the above.

Wishing you a great new year for 2020!

Gary

Hi Gary,

1. We cannot give any date since it is not scheduled yet. The update will be released as soon as.
2. You need to enable poll in category settings too.
Edit the category you want the poll to be in and proceed to Category settings:

Set Allow Polls to Yes.
Now the Poll icon appears in the editor:

3. Here is the documentation on how to set up vector icons:
www.roundtheme.com/docs/item/set-up-vector-icons-for-categories
But please bear in mind the syntax was changed in the latest version of Font Awesome, so I recommend you to watch the video in the tutorial and then open FontAwesome site to get actual icon codes.

Great New Year 2020 to you and good luck!

Jeez - I feel like a bonehead on the poll question. Apparently I had only enabled the polls in certain categories. Thanks for that!

As far as the vector icons, I have them set up, but was looking for a “key” so to speak as to what each one actually stands for so I could publish it on my site for members. I don’t know what all the default icons are (I can decipher “no replies” “has replies” and “pinned”. Is there a list of all the various types of defaults?

Again, appreciate the help for a non programmer type.

Looking forward to the update!

Best,

Gary.

Well, as far as I know, you cannot set up custom topic icons and there are just 8 icons, however, it is possible to change the design for the current kit by replacing vector icons to images.

Here is the documentation:
