I'm trying to change the avatar size as when it resizes from 150 to 144 it stops animated avatars working, I've tried the trick from the link below but it doesnt seem to show up the option in the backend. Is there anything else that can be done to stop it reducing the size in topics and posts?

Hello bigwookie,

There might be a situation when Kunena generates new cropped image in static .jpg format after avatar uploading.
If there is no such situation and avatars keeps .gif type and you just need to change the size of the avatar without loosing its type, then a new custom CSS rule must be added.
Could you clarify how do you change avatar size, please? I'll do the best to provide you quick solution.

A link on your forum will help me to examine the type of the avatar...

Thank you.
Eugene.

Hi,

I managed to workout how to change the avatar size by doing the alterations from the other post to the config.xml that then showed the option in the backend. I think Kunena doesn't officially support animated .gif avatars but as long as they are't resized by Kunena it retains the animation so I changed post size avatars slightly to 150x150.

Hello bigwookie,

Ah, you need to change color of the buttons. That's so easy!
Go to Administator's Panel > Components > Kunena > Templates > RND Kascetic
Then click on second tab "Basic Settings"
Here you can change color of different elements. Find Button Color param and pick up required color via color picker element. The screenshot is attached.

Do not hesitate to contact me in any questions.
Regards,
Eugene.

Oh, I was replied here on another question... A few tabs were opened in browser and I posted this answer by mistake. Thousands of apologizes!

So, as concerning the .gif avatars - it's technically impossible to resize them with keeping animations since the script physically creates a new image with new size during resize process, so all animations will be lost, thereby, as I suppose, Kunena just miss animated avatars to avoid making them static and keep .gif avatars in original.
